Looking for recommendations for first guided or out of state hunt

Ive been to Africa 3 times and am going back next Summer.

Most outfitters offer packages which typically include four or five animals for around $5,000. What can get costly is taxidermy and additional animals.

So to answer a couple questions, I’m open to rifle or bow, however probably lean more towards rifle, and I would also be open to “semi-guided” or pack in trips as well I suppose, I think if I were to do something in Washington it would probably be elk or mule deer, not really interested in Africa, and not totally sure about budget but looking for the best bang for buck, not looking to stay in a fancy lodge or anything, would be nice to be able to drive there as well, however not a deal breaker by any means

Speed goat might be a fun way to get your feet wet that or Alberta Mule Deer. Midwest Whitetail is going to be in the 3-5K range. Heck even an Idaho Mt lion hunt. Dale was awesome for turkey season. I would definitely recommend shooting him an email or giving him a call.

Speed goat hunt would be a good choice. Lots of action and lots of opportunity. Not crazy amounts of $ like most deer and elk hunts are getting to be if you go guided.

Whats your budget? Rifle,bow...any? If I had the greenlight I'd be shopping Alberta muley hunts or Mid West whitetail hunts.

Bang for your buck..... my first question is would you like to hunt somewhere that you can go back to again and again maybe with friends but not have to keep paying? I sell detailed diy elk hunting plans in both Montana and Wyoming. As someone above mentioned Wyoming is probably a better bet. It only takes 1 point to draw a tag. Someone also mentioned applying for a Big Game Combo in Montana. If you do that you may not draw but if you apply for elk only you will. My plans vary in difficulty from easy with road side camping to pack in camps in the back country. I take a look at your goals and abilities and offer you ones that suit your needs. It’s a one time cost per group so you can split the cost with partners. I only sell each plan to one group. My clients are all into elk and do very well. Figure I could save money if it’s somewhere I could drive to as well. I plan on going to the sportsman’s show at Puyallup fair as well to see what is being offered.

Your best bet would be an elk or better yet a cow elk hunt or an ID or Mt deer hunt with Bearpaw outfitters on here

If you go on a guided hunt go to South Africa or Namibia because for the cost of an elk hunt you can have a package for 5-10 animals and get treated like royalty over there and develop friendships that lasts a lifetime I book for many outfitters around the globe send me a pm

If you hunt Hawaii plan on bow. They seem to have NY as their model city for gun control. It may or may not be a felony to bring a firearm to the island without a permit.

Under 5k & being your first trip experience I would definitely look to eastern Wyoming for antelope. Should be able to draw a tag,hunt on private away from the masses & be guaranteed a successful hunt on a really good antelope. With some shopping around you could probably add a doe antelope (if tag drawn) & some prairie dog/coyote hunting & still be under your target budget with extra for a new speed goat rifle!😉 The fun factor will be off the charts,weather probably nice & the action guaranteed.

Check out Spearhead Ranch in Wy for mule deer /goat combo. Antelope is diy and deer is guided. We hunted it for goats but saw some good Muley bucks on that ranch.
