Good topic, I've been looking, too.  I can't find one that will easily fold up and not take up a lot of space when it's not in use.  In the mean time, I bought one of the new Avery dog vests, which has a built-in grab handle.  It's made for pulling the dog up into the boat, and it's advertised it as an alternative to a dog ladder.
I put it on my dog when I went hunting yesterday, but can't unfortunately can't tell you how it worked.  Let's just say...there wasn't a lot of retrieving that needed to be done.

I've been looking for on also but see only expensive ones or cheap ones that look like they will fall apart soon. I've been brain storming designs and only came up with a weird idea. Aluminum frame, that  has 1/4 inch plywood on it with a couple of boat fenders under the frame or the Al frame with a boogie board on top and again some boat fenders attached to the underside to help float the thing while the dog gets on top without it sinking.

Post your ideas and pictures of the items if you build one so we can see the product.

thanks for this topic it is one that should of been posted a long time ago.

I have used one I odered from Cabala's

 Boat/Tree Dog Platform Item:XH-616888

 $124.99

Its easy on and easy off.  Work your dog at home with it first before heading out hunting. It may take a bit of training.

( I added some soft rubber pads on the platform for grip)

I highly recommend it. I have used ours for 4 years now.
