Meat Marinade
« on: February 03, 2020, 10:30:05 PM »
Anyone have a home made witches brew for a marinade for elk?  And yes, I'm aware that elk meat can stand on its own thank you very much. Just looking to change things up a bit when the mood strikes.

Thanks

Not homemade mccormicks peppercornand garlic is a good one. We press a couple extra cloves of garlic. Let it sleep at least over night. Works just as good on chicken thighs. Btw cooked out side on a treager or charcoal weber kettle🤑🤑🤑😉🥃🇺🇸

I use whatever is in the refrigerator at the time.  It usually involves garlic, soy or teriyaki, salt, pepper, maybe onion powder, probably rosemary, olive oil, whatever I'm in the mood for.

I always use:

Little bit of soy
Worshire(sp?)
1 can beer
a little ice cold water(enough that all the meat is covered in liquid)
beef bullion
olive oil/avocado oil
salt and pepper
minced garlic and some garlic powder
brown sugar
whatever dried herbs you have in the spice drawer(Italian spice, thyme, rosemary, etc..)
and finally the secret ingredient...……………………………a decent amount of chili powder or flakes

Marinade at least 48 hours  then BBQ medium rare as always

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

This is my go to for all meats. They have beef, chicken ,pork, and seafood varieties. Awesome stuff that is stand alone as a seasoning, or mix with your choice of liquids for a marinade. Also good as a sprinkle on seasoning for jerky.

PS, Amazon is kinda high priced, can find it in some grocery stores for around $4-5.
