REMINGTON 700 CP.
« on: February 05, 2019, 07:21:16 PM »
No talk of the new Remington 700 CP (Chassis Pistol)?

Looks like a solid winner for the like it short and handy crowd. Currently offered in .308 12.5" bbl and in 5.56/.223, .300 Blkout with a 10.5" bbl. Rear single point plate has the same thread pitch as a AR buffer tube. With a multitude of arm brace choices. Looks like this could be the new "Stamp" free SBR.😀🇺🇸🇺🇸💥

One could rebarrel to any chambering or length under 16" since the action is regestered as a pistol. Lots to offer.

I'll go ahead and say it: the Remington 700 CP is an abomination and an insult to specialty pistols!!!!! It was obviously designed to be used with an arm brace as a workaround to the SBR stamp. Remington could have at least built it on the XP-100 action so that those would be available again to build off of!

Now the Nosler 48 NCH is a great example of a gun designed from the ground up as a pistol, by folks who're actually familiar with specialty pistols.

I have one in 308 on backorder  :IBCOOL:
I doubt it will replace my CFP. However will be handy even with a can on it

I ordered a .308 also. Remington should bring back the XP100 but in a rear grip model.👍 As for the Nosler pistol, at its price point a guy is way on his way to a custom pistol by a reputable smith.

Yes I love my CFP but if they put the xp100 out again I would own a few I am sure. I have been thinking about the nosler but saw the CP an decided to give it a go.

Don't know that I'll ever buy one but that is kinda what I was thinking as well.  Arm brace and a can would make for a pretty fun little setup.

Having put the bolt on the right was a huge mistake. Awkward to say the least.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Exactly! A mag fed bolt action pistol should have a left and bolt if it's being shot by a right handed shooter. It's not a big deal on a single shot though. Better still would be a left bolt right port action.
