Helicopters and Wolves
« on: February 11, 2019, 09:35:12 PM »
Good buddy of mine just south of Chewela has elk bedded down tonight 30 yes from his house.  One cow raido collared.    Pack of wolves howling.  This morning he sees a radio collared wolf.   Just called me.   Helicopter buzzing his house.  WTF?

wolves are hungry, so WDFW has to haze the Elk out away from houses so the wolves can feed.

hazed, scattered elk are easier for wolves to hunt than a herd held up in town, plus it helps keep the wolves out of town and off livestock.

In this day and age a cell phone is capable of taking some remarkable pics and video cuz I would've liked to see video someday of a black helo.

That way they know where their beloved wolves are when they are shot for eating cattle and peoples pets

I'm guessing some one spoke out of turn  since there are no longer any comments about why the helo was in the area.
