Thanks, I didn't realize that even testing it isn't failsafe. Makes sense, I just never thought about it.
It is also interesting in the last year that the consensus on the jump to humans has changed from "it is unlikely" to "It's a matter of time."
I don't use commercial processors, but that is something to think about as you now have to worry about a bunch of other guys' deer and elk. Even if you test, you won't know the results until long after it is processed so there is no way to know what other animals you are exposed to when you go to pick up your meat.
