I'm a little surprised at the lack of interest in this. Are people numb to this sort of thing or are we all ok with this??

The way these states are coming up with new laws affecting sportsmen, they had better start building some bigger jails.  They're probably gonna need some more room beside the current string of criminals.

Funny this was my initial reaction to this. Who will police this, I would think that as long as there are no awards or (ribbons) associated than it would no longer be illegal, but I feel like that is a loop hole and we what worries me the most is the threat that our way of life is taking. Painting the awesome world of dog trials and NAVHDA events and VHDF events as bad and unethical when the truth is, it is a way to continue to produce exceptional dogs that live a life of purpose. This then produces the hunting of wild birds on wild land that would not exist without the sportsman and organizations like DU and pheasants forever and RMEF and so many more.

I passed the word on a few forums and contacted a couple of guys I know who are Oregon residents and have hunting dogs.  But I feel that as an out of stater it's not my place to contact Oregon legislators and give them my .02.  If this was happening in Idaho I'd be all over it.  Wait...it will hopefully be a cold day in hell before this kind of stuff happens in Idaho.

I reached out to the Oregon legislators via email since I got to Oregon for Hunt Tests 3-4 times a year.

I figured there had to be a thread about this. I was posting on another thread. Anyway, i have shared this on my social media as well. I will fight this had as I can. There is no happier time in a bird dogs life than when they are afield and this is such BS.
