Anyone bring a camp style chair with them when hunting?
Helinox chairs are money if your glassing lots. Not great for every situation but they are super light and take up very little space.
It's not a camp style chair, but I use a folding, nylon netted, low style chair for turkey hunting. It has 4 collapsible legs with a strap for carrying. It sits about 3-4" above the ground, keeps your fanny dry, and is great for setting up against a big tree or stump.
Captschar, I did pick up one of these last spring to potentially pack in on some backcountry hunts. I used is a few times and found it to be pretty sturdy, comfortable, and functional. I think they only weigh around a few pounds and if you dig around, you can find one for a bit under 40 bones. Just an option for ya buddy if you want to throw a chair in, or, strap it to your pack. I have a few of the tri-pod type stools also that weigh a bit less, but, if you're talking sitting in something and shooting off sticks, a four legger may be better for that purpose.
Why not just a turkey vest with a seat pad ? I had one that the seat would drop down, you would lean forward a bit and snap a strap on both sides, lean back and it was like sitting in a recliner.
