Turkey Land Access for 9 y/o son ?
« on: April 01, 2019, 01:17:18 PM »
My 9 year old son recently passed his hunter's education and would love to go Turkey hunting. Does anyone have some land with turkeys they would be willing to let me take my 9 year old son to hunt on? or know of some good public land? We will not be able to make it out for the youth hunt as we have other commitments and then are finalizing the adoption of our daughter for the opener. We are looking at going sometime between April 22 - 27. Unfortunately, we also won't have a chance to make it out scouting before the hunting trip as I have 4 other kids and they have other activities going on. We are respectful hunters, I am an Eagle Scout and he is in cub scouts and we practice "leave no trace". We live in Tri-Cities but are willing to drive a few hours for a good opportunity to make it a memorable hunt for my son. We are also willing to do some work on the property or anything else that may be needed. Thanks for any help.
-Josh
