Duckhunter14,   My post wasn’t so much complaining about them going to a draw only for antlerless for the Colockum as much as it is about them totally eliminating the general late hunt for this unit. I would be surprised if the true spike harvest for this late season couldn’t be counted on one hand, and the harvesting of a few yearling bulls has absolutely no effect on the size and health of this herd!
My post wasn't so much about the late season being taken away. I should have been more clear. Pretty tough to kill an Elk with a bow in the crunchy snow (I have not been able to) and I can't imagine how that hunt could effect the numbers much so why take away the oppurtunity?
However, I never thought it was OK to let an umlimited number of cow hunters in the same unit and time frame during one of the premimum bull hunts WA has to offer. I hope you draw a bull or a cow tag. If you do your in for a real treat!

I actually drew the colockum archery bull tag about 10 years ago. I believe there were only 2 tags! Was an amazing hunt even though I didn’t get a bull.

Awesome. Maybe you will get lucky and draw it again. My partner drew it with 9 points. He did not harvest a bull either but it was an awesome hunt for us.
