Runamuk does know how to catch fish after all.......

We went out yesterday to Westport, 2 hours of nothing and then.....yeah!  While those one the beach got some clams, we filled the cooler.

Might be the camera angle, but those look like some really nice bass.  Dang.  Congrats.  I'm going next sunday.  Hope the water is as flat as it was for you.

It was way too much fun......  and yes I did catch a few but so did everyone..... sure is a lot more fun catching fish....it's been a while since I had caught anything  :P

It wasn't quite "flat" out there.  The wind did drop down but the swell was 4 to 8 with a few bigger.  The other hard part was the current was kicking at about 3 - 3 1/2 knots so we were only in the zone a short time each drift.  We also lost about 20 lures....  And, yes, those are some big rockfish, 3 to 4 1/2 pounders, though the lings were small.

Had a blast.  Runamuk was a good sport with the big swell as we went out and then dealt with 2 hours of no fish.

That's a hell of a lot more fish than I caught during all of last year. I'm primed up for my lessons teach.  :fishin:
