« on: June 04, 2019, 02:53:33 PM »
Going to be there in a couple weeks with the kids. Anyone know of a decent place to shore fish? Species doesn’t matter. Thanks

The Colville River flows along 395, south out of Chewelah.
Years back I fished right near the town of Blue Creek.
There's some big trout to be found, browns & bows.

If you can go a little further north, tiger pass has a ton of small lakes to fish. I hear power lake is decent near chewelah

I'd hop over the mountain and fish lake Roosevelt. Miles of unlimited access, and probably the best lake in the state.

Hmm.  I'll have to ask a family friend about Roosevelt spots.

I grew up 50 yards from Lake Roosevelt. You can catch fish from the shore. A friend of mine just caught 5 pike all over 10 lbs in a couple hours from shore. ive caught walleye, bass trout, sturgeon, burbot, you name it from shore, and lots of them. Or go to waitts lake and fish off of the dock.
