Hey All,
I live in the Snoqualmie/Fall City Area. I'm going to be Bow Hunting this fall. I hunted last year late with no success at all. This was my first year hunting. This year i'm trying to hit it early to be geared up and informed before the season starts. I'm starting to scout out areas for Black Tail. I have a mountain bike and can cruise mountain forest roads. My current game plan is as follows: Glass clear cuts, bike between cuts, look for alder and south facing slopes, look for tracks and game trails, put up a couple of game cams. I will be hunting in the Snoqualmie Valley. Most likely around the Campbell Tree farm. These are pretty broad strokes...
I'm not asking for spots by any means, I want to know what to be looking for? What type of areas should I be looking in? What should I be looking for? Are fresh cut areas better than 3-5 year old areas? How much do the deer move around in there? Should I plan on getting off all the main roads?
Thanks for your consideration and any help you can offer up!
