Antilon near Chelan
« on: June 26, 2019, 09:53:20 PM »
You guys ever fish this lake?  We will be camping there in a few weeks.  I think I’ll likely bring the little aluminum pond boat with a troller, any other recommendations?

No gas powered motors. Watch for moose in the lake and snakes on the shore. Be prepared for lots of people, check out farther up Grade Creek Rd to get some peace and quiet. Lot of partiers up there in the summer.

Check out Wapato or Roses Lake for fishing too down lower towards Manson.

Bugs are bad up there most of the year, pretty placefor all that. I fished there a couple times a few years back and caught a couple, did not try real hard. Some other folks looked to be doing pretty well.

So we're thinking about taking our little 12ft aluminum pond boat and trolling wedding rings/worms around - sound about right?

Sounds about right.  I've done well there casting from shore for the browns with small bright spoons and spinners.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Antilon is one of my husband and my favorite lakes. If you can find them, pick up a few Tasmanian devil's. You can troll them fairly slow and they put out a good wiggle. You'll lose count of the amount of browns youll catch with those. If you got kids the browns and pumpkin seeds also readily bite a worm under a bobber. The launch is a bit rough, we always just bring a little aluminum 12fter that we can carry down to the water. The camping sites are rough and usually stacked with trash, and there's almost always some target practice going on.
