This is the worst time of year to expect good service in any archery shop. On a side note if you want to get into archery do yourself a favor and learn how to do everything yourself. Archery shops generally are not very good.

As noted here, some are, so find one that is and let them take care of you. To imply all are not very good really isn't fair.

Gary at Riverside takes good care of me, and he also a good friend to Silver Arrow Bowmen.  We have a FB page, and a thread on here in the classified events and organizations... flat range 50 targets on the walk through course, $3 a day to shoot and now half price membership that covers you till the new year. $20 I belive. We have members from Seattle to Blaine

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Most guys don’t know how well a bow can be set up to know how poor of a job there shop does. Not that the guys at the shop aren’t smart and don’t know what there doing they just generally don’t have the time or interest to tune your bow to that level. Shops in general struggle to stay afloat do to the internet and need to get stuff out the door.

If you want knowledge, expertise and the greatest customer service you will find in the local archery scene there is ONE place.  Lance at https://www.obsessionarchery.net/ is a one man show that is truly in a league of his own.  He is an authorized dealer for Obession bows and now Xpedition Bows.  His shop is in his garage in Bothell and he takes care of his customers with one-on-one, highly personalized care that no bow shop can touch frankly.  From spending the time to talk bows,  show and shoot different bows in his garage/shop to building the bow for you, he does everything from tuning, to arrow building, to setting up full accessories, start to finish.  I've been to a lot of shops over the years and while there are some good ones, you won't find anything like Lance!
