GMU 454 issaquah access

was looking to do some elk hunting in GMU 454 Issaquah and the spot I had in mind is the public land just north east of Kanaskat-palmer state park. However from what I could see and when I drove around all access to this area is closed by private property. Anyone know if companies around there such as Bonneville power company allow access?

It appears to me that you should be able to access it from 307th.

Take Kent kangley from maple valley to the east, follow it till it makes a sharp turn to the left and there is a blue gate, you can access McDonald mountain from there, shoulder parking in right. Lots of hikers and mountain bike trails. Keep that in mind

Take HWY 18 from I 90 towards Tiger Mt State Forest.  Before you get there, you'll see gates left and right. You can hunt the left ones with any weapons, but I think the right side where they have mountain biking trails, you can only do archery.

Like Quack said above.... park at the blue gate.  I've been all around there last 3 years.  Just an fyi that area gets absolutely hammered year round and especially hunting season.
  Get off the main trail and get in early.

Take HWY 18 from I 90 towards Tiger Mt State Forest.  Before you get there, you'll see gates left and right. You can hunt the left ones with any weapons, but I think the right side where they have mountain biking trails, you can only do archery.

You can actually use anything but centerfire rifles on the Tiger Mountain side: shotguns, muzzleloaders, crossbows and handguns are legal if you have a modern tag.

You need internet access to either view the maps online or download them. If you download them, they can be viewed later without internet access.

Being how this post is in the "elk" folder I must say there are very few to no elk in tiger Mt area.  There are a lot better places to start than tiger Mt/Hwy 18 for elk.

I've seen signs, but never seen elk over there.
