We have them in Skagit County. Ive seen them, others have as well. Can only assume the impact as it is much thicker here than in the NE.

I went with a 6 also, could have added a 7&8 as well. There is a high percentage of people that pack now, that wouldn't have 20 years ago, several dogs have been killed or attacked by wolves. and there have also been several instances of wolves following people in the Methow and even a few attacks.

Good Poll KF!

H-W has come a long way in nine years, while WDF&Wolves have stayed the same....

thats why I put "or hunt"

Nothing scientific about the poll, just curious how many are seeing impacts, not looking for anything in particular.

On a side note I spent the whole day yesterday in a heavily impacted wolf area from 3 and 4 years ago, it was a den site and old rendezvous area I wanted to see if anything lived or came back.  I kept saying to myself "the woods are dead"

There's still a few deer, few elk, only found one fresh bear sign even though I had tons of thimble berries and hucks amoung other berries near water and shade, cool areas, strange to not see bears in old bear areas loaded with berries, all the bear scat was years old, none fresh.  I was like wtheck are the bear??

And no cattle where there used to be lots.

The woods are dead.

Anyobe else been in a dead zone?

Yes very much so.
Been out hunting bear with little sign, very few deer, any elk.
Seen this in one area , so you tell me if my area is impacted or not.
From my understanding this is part of the predator/prey study and if you ask them there just trapping coyote, But we all know what there really after .And last winter I did see a wolf in this area .But will be surprised if they can catch it.

I marked #5, several ranchers I know have lost livestock, others see wolves checking out their livestock every week, it's just a matter of time and several more packs will be eating beef. Moose are at maybe 25% of their previous population, deer are at maybe 30-40% of previous population, elk are slightly increasing in some areas and slightly decreasing in other areas. In some areas the huge cougar population is making the most impact on deer, other areas the wolves have moved in heavy and making big impacts. Areas with wolves the moose population has definitely nose dived, myself and my guides have found numerous wolf kills. We've found 4 wolf killed moose in the last year. Gotta wonder how many moose they are killing that we haven't stumbled upon?
