Great rifles. Get a steel barrel.
I just wouldnt pay $4k for a Cooper when you can spend $2300 on a timberline or back country and get the same weight and performance.
I don't have the rifle in your picture, but I have a Cooper 92 Back Country in 6.5 x 284 and couldn't be any happier. I like the detachable mag on mine although mine is not extended. Shoots as advertised.
You could have a full custom with a titanium action and carbon barrel made for $4k

Action - 1500 Barrel - 800Brake - 150 Trigger - 150 Stock - 600 Bottom metal - 250 That’s around 3500 in parts. I’d say 500-700 is a good going rate for assembling it all. Have you actually talked to any builders? Or just looked online?
