Camping cot recommendations

Get a bigger tent and a queen-sized Coleman air mattress with a frame. It's so much more comfortable for both of you. I got a Coleman Lakeside tent - 7x14'. The bed takes up half and you have the rest for a table and some chairs. I also have a cot I don't use that would probably fit you. I'd get rid of it for $50 if you want it. It's in fine condition, used maybe 3 total weeks before I got the bed.

My mules pack these and a layer of foam.
Foam for extra cush and insulation. 1" bow season and 2" gun season.

My wife brought two of these cots home from a garage sale- $20. They are very nice! And they stow away to nothing!

I also have a couple of the XL cots from Cabelas. My guess is these are an older generation- they can be a bit of a pain to set up. Very sturdy, and comfortable for sure. Kind of big and heavy though.

I got a Rio Gear Portable XL Smart Cot


haven't used it yet but looked good in the store, they had one setup sportsman warehouse

also got a big cot pad.


I'll be doing the elk glamping thing next year in a wall tent

The Coleman double high SupportRest is nice for car camping.  Their QueenCot is also nice (combo mattress and cot).  If camping near AC power, there are a bunch of really nice double height indoor mattresses with internal air coils that are great.   I don't do much car camping, as I'm usually backpacked in, but when I do I use the SupportRest instead of a cot and it's very comfortable.

Well after 10 years my 40 inch wide cabalas XL cot gave in ,in the middle of the night on the 3rd day of my 23 day. outing.
A call to my wife and a friend and a new 40 inch Outdoor Life rated for 600 lbs arrived at camp for me. Very nice.
