Best 4 or 5 seat side by side

Depends on what you are doing with it?  I have a teryx4.  Good for playing in the woods, not for work it doesn't really have a bed, not enough power for playing in sand.

Really depends on what your looking for.  I have a Honda Pioneer 1000.  The have a 5 seat model that the 2 back seats are built into the bed.  If you use the. You still have bed space if you don't use them you have full use of the bed.  The reason I picked Honda over all the rest is that it is shaft driven not belt driven like all the rest.  I looked for at least a year before getting mine.  My choices in order were of course Honda, then Polaris, and Can Am last.

Depends on intended use.  Play?  Can am x3 bus.  Reliability and toughness? Teryx 4.  Versatile?  Honda Pioneer and Yammy X4 wolverine.  Enclosed cab/cold weather?  Yamaha x4.  Pioneer.  Power?  Can am Polaris pioneer x4 teryx.  I have second teryx now.  Cheapest @13k.  Belt last forever.  5k-10k under normal use.  $125 to replace, 3 year warranty from Kawa.  It is loud and warm in cab.  Great utv.  Yamaha quiet and reliable.  Honda good at everything but back seats suck.  Polaris and Canam are tooo long and belong in desert or sand only imop.  Hope that helps.  What your use will be is the important question.

Tag cause I really want one, and would have to be a 4 or 5 seater. We have ridden with bunch of buddies that have the rzr 1000 turbo 4 seaters and they are amazing, they are used really hard and because so have gone threw a number of belts...  had my first ride in “The General” and liked it also, 4 seats and a dump bed and plenty of power, handling was not as smooth as the rzr but still eats up rough roads.

I do want to be able to convert rear seats to bed though. I looked at polaris at the sportsman show and it was great with the enclosed cab and heater. I am a Honda fan but does the cab close up well?

Good friend and riding buddy has a new 2019 Polaris Ranger.  $28k.  Crew cab NorthStar.  Sweet, 6 seats, AC, Heat etc.  Been in shop over n over.  Rear dif/trans.  Driveline.  Now front dif is gone.   Belt at 1100 miles.  It has 1600 easy miles on it.   So,  pick cautiously.  I have around 3k miles between my Teryxs.  CV boot tore.  Bent few things in crash.  Well used not babied.  0 breakdowns.  But its not what you need from sounds of it.  Look hard at Yam x4 wolverine with cab imop.  Honda too.

Honda Pioneer 1000-5 for all around fun, work and seating options.   More power than most will ever need unless you like to go 100 mph in th sand dunes.

I got ther 3 seater 1000 limited edition.  Fox shocks, skid plates front to back abd brush gaurd.  I added a winch wind shield and hard top. Looking at doors.

This is mine when it was brand new.  I was still waiting for the roof and mirrors to arrive.  It has a heater installed that works pretty well.  You can get an inclosed cab on these if you want to spend the money.  If I had it to do over, I would have bought the glass windshield with windshield wiper.....otherwise I have been plenty happy.  Super awesome rigs....we just go back from using our in elk camp an it is way better to drive these up the mountains than our big diesel rigs.

I have bought from them.  Not a bad dealer.    If ya can get freight setup charges waived there ya doing something right!  Oregon has some dealers with really good prices sometimes as well.  Shop em and use prices to compare/compete from other dealers.  It works for me, most times dealer will match.

I installed a soft cab and windshield in my teryx4.  Keeps us nice and dry but seems to amplify the cab noise.

Spent about an hour at the honda/polaris dealer today. He didnt push either brand but gabe me the pros and cons of each. Still leaning towards honda but the polaris cab is hard to beat. Anyone know which is the quietest of the two? I gues enclosed cab amps up the noise.

Make sure you look at the warranty Polaris is usually like 6 months to a year. Way to stand behind their machine! spend 30k as much as a new truck and get a 6 month warranty. such a joke

I bought a can-am and got a 3 year unlimited miles warranty and then talked the dealer into another 3 year warranty on them. 6 years unlimited miles!!!!

Riding in NorthStar Ranger is good.  Ride is little rough but tire pressure and shock adjustments help.  Noise is decent, its not loud but not quiet.  You can talk loud to each other.  Rain drips and a rattle are present.  Always need adjusting.  Doors are HEAVY and hinge pins wear quickly.  Kawasaki has 3 year warranty that is FREE!!!  Ya wont need it though.  No cabs though.  A new Kawa is coming in October 7 2019.??  It seems you should check out the X4 Yam.  Heard lots of good things but no experience yet.  Very nice cabs and very quiet.  Soft ride.  Good price point. I wanted to possibly buy the Yam x4 but after having a Teryx before the WIFE?BOSS! said No, Teryx4, tough comfy and doesn't break!  She loves it.  Honestly I would not buy Polaris Ranger without a HUGE warranty because you will 98% need it for repairs.  Not opinion, its a fact.  Even after the improvements Polaris made in 2019 it still is a fragile 2100lb machine.  Japanese/USA built utvs are the toughest hands down.  Yamaha has what a 10 year belt warranty?  Same belt system as Kawasaki runs.  They last forever.  But, all makes do have some issues, the question is do ya want to fix a Transmission or differential or a gas tank vent or squeaky bushing?  Google YOUTUBE "Dirt trax" they have good info reviews on all these.  May help ya decide.  And keep in mind they are sponsored by Polaris and Canam yet speak highly of Yam Kawa and Honda 4 seaters.

Living in Lewis county as well, i went to both the Ranger/Honda dealer and the Can am dealer. Told them both I want the best out the door cash price with all the added accessories I wanted. I ended up going with the Can Am defender but not from the Centralia dealer I still have not received a quote from them after requesting one many  times over.
I ended up getting it from Paulsens Powersports in Great Falls.  I saved over 10K which more then paid for the trip over and back.  My main reason i went with the Can Am is their Rotax engine. It is being used in experimental aircraft and up in the sky one can't just get out and walk home.

I did the fuel tank vent mod when I did my spark plugs.  I run through a lot of mud and dust and stuff and my tank was squeaky clean inside.  I haven't rode it much at all in the last year.  My wife had a baby.  Now we are a family of 5, so i been looking at the bench rear seat.  Turn my t4 into a t5.

They make a "Bump"seat kit goes in between the 2 seats with belts and such.  Great for the little ones.  after age 5-8 its gonna be too small though.

We ride together almost daily all winter in the desert. Apples to Apples, in our first 2,500 miles, the Polaris has been in the shop for a clutch issue, brake problems, electrical problem and a noise in the front end. The Honda has had scheduled oil changes and a couple little recall things like a rubber mat under the seat, a heat shroud on the exhaust and a gas pedal safety thing. His Polaris now has 5K miles and all the problems seem to be gone except weird noises and clunky sounds on the clutch which have become just the norm. The Honda driving position is better between the two however, that is a personal preference. Performance, they are about the same. He can go anywhere I can go and vice versa. They both top out about 65mph. They are about the same speed in a drag race. I think the Honda maybe a touch faster because of the transmission. He broke a belt in the sand dunes. Honda has no belt to break. Otherwise, minus his added time in the shop I think both are really good rigs and do the same things very well.

Since we do ride in the desert a lot, we decided to get better equipped rigs. Keeping the work rigs but, adding a total toy. I'm taking delivery of a Can AM X3 XRS RR tomorrow.

I bought my Honda at I-90. I went back to them and asked for a quote for the Can Am. They didn't ever get back to me after I called them once to remind them about an out the door quote. I shopped every shop I could find. AZ, Idaho, Nevada and Ca. They were all about the same. The guys at Larsen Powersports in Fife seemed most interested in dealing.

However, I would call the dealer in Okanogan. He had a couple rigs he was interested in selling and his price was the best around except it wasn't exactly what I wanted.

Guys who wouldn't deal; Enumclaw, Lynnwood, Wenatchee, Ride(same group from here to Florida) and I-90 in the short discussion I had with them. I was impressed with the Can Am in between play and work machine. The have a couple in Fife. I would try giving them a call because they actually seemed motivated to sell and went below anyone elses price I found in the last few months of searching.
