Big thing for me is finding a place that we can shoot at.  I have reached out to Rock Creek shooting range and couldn't get a hold of anyone.

Thanks to Jasnt for the knock on the noggin to make me think about using the turrets, I now have a starting point for dialing my 1k hold on my turrets, should be very easy to get into the ballpark and adjust from there. I have never played with shooting at stuff past about 500 yards til yesterday. I think I am hooked and want to buy a nightforce scope and another rifle now lol

just a word of caution on that plan. I've set up two BDX systems now for friends and the tracking on both scopes is as bad as I've seen. Once I got them zeroed they did hold zero though so that's a plus.  High likelyhood of you losing your zero and not getting accurate come up if you attempt to get twisty with your scope. If it was me I'd just leave it set as is :twocents:

Thank you for that, I was kind of worried about it. I don't think I will be shooting at any deer past about 500 yards with it so for actual hunting I won't mess with it. When I finally sack up the courage to drop some coin on a true long range hunting rig, it will have a NF scope on it. I want to trust the scope.

If we go through with this just for fun I’ll bring my .257 wby topped with vortex 6x24 and twist turrets for fun!

I've shot quite a few sig scopes and they just continue to miss the mark.  I was pumped to get my hands on that BDX system but it left me seriously wanting.  I get that they wanted to slip it in at a very competitive price point but they skimped where they shouldn't have (like erector system).  It flat out works though. It hits where it is supposed to when that little dot pops up in the reticle.
