I heard something like you weren't allowed to kill them unless it was case of survival/desperation because they were to slow to defend them self's. :dunno:

I don't think porcupines are classified in this state.

When my girlfriend went thru hunters safety she asked the gamie about them. He told her there are no regulations on them. :mgun:
I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.

Shoot every damn one of them. Last fall my dog got into one every weekend for four weeks. First one I was able to pull them out, second time I had to bring him to the vet, third time I was again able to pull them out, and the last weekend he must have thought he was tough because he had quills all down his chest and legs and face. He had so many in his mouth that he couldn't shut it and had some in his eyes. By the time I got home he wouldn't let me near him and was growling at me. I had no choice but to put him down. So kill every porcupine you see.

My Chessy rolled on a dead one last year, and got coverd. Just one roll is all it took. Damn Porkys! Spur and I were able to get the quills out, thank goodness!
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!
