9 hours later...
« on: October 28, 2007, 01:21:27 PM »
My hunting buddy and I walked about 9 hours Satuday looking for pheasant. We were very disappointed in what we saw but did manage to shoot two. He got one and I the other. The crowning part of the day was my rooster was lost. My big mistake was NEVER using anything but duck parts to train Gus, so when John found his rooster I had Gus smell it and mouth it etc. We then wandered back into the thick and deep crap where Mr. Rooster had fallen or borrowed into. After what seemed like hours Gus comes up with the DOA rooster!!!! Made my day. AS you can see he is real proud of the rooster. Tired to take it up stairs with him to show his partner who is afraid of guns, bow, arrows, etc.
