Ya really or put the guys who get poacher points in a different drawing or something. Makes me mad guys drawing promo tags then all of a sudden right back to the points that us guys that have been applying since the begging have, well close anyway. I guess I need to just hunt for poachers! ha

I agree that it would be more fair if after you draw a premier tag you are out of the draw for 2-5 years while building points, they do that in several states. While the poacher points advantage seems unfair in a way it seems no more unfair to me than a guy drawing with one point vs guys with ten plus. Sorry to poach the topic here maybe we need to start a new post on the points issue. nwhunter

I think they will be great tags. i just wonder how many people will put in for them and if it will level out other tag options. I wish they would lower the amount of options you can put in for like 4 to 3 or even as low as 2. people would really have to decide what they would like to put in for. :twocents:

even one choice would be great I think!  Would you put in for a rut tag then? I bet the hunts with around 800 apps would gp down to about 200 and with 14+ points you should draw I would think! maybee not a rut hunt but some of the other premo hunts. I hope they do that next year!

don't we all.  It could massively improve hunt odds....with so many frustrated individuals, I am not sure why they don't catch on.

To be honest I am surprised they finally changed the draw and hunting reg dates. Took them years to do that one. I complained every year. i hated finding out in late July (if they get it right) I like the idea of one or two. That would really even things out I believe. does anybody know if they are thinking about changing it up? I know there were some talk about it but I did not hear anything concrete??
