Can't help you much on the locations, or with a partner, but I do have a couple of words of advice. It's a real bummer that you aren't getting support from your family as you pursue something you're clearly passionate about. If you are fueling your fire to hunt with spite, you're going to burn yourself out, and lose the real reason why you're hunting. You don't have to prove someone else wrong, hunt to fulfill yourself and your passion. Killing an animal isn't going to change the mind of anybody that doesn't support your choice to hunt, so you have to do it for yourself. Go out and enjoy those 10 days in the field, and hopefully you notch a tag. If you don't, it's not the end of the world, most people don't every season. Our time in the woods is fleeting, so make the most of it.
