Opening day of late rifle and i havent heard a single shot, its unreal. I have a bunch of state land around my house and it usually sounds like a gun range around here on opening weekend of the late season. Guys come and shoot anything with antlers. Problem is, the deer numbers here in my neighborhood are down probably 80% in just the last 5 years. Only had 2 bucks on my property all year, a spike and a forkie. Pretty sad. But to not hear a single shot coming from the state land opening day, thats pretty wild. Real bad times for deer hunters around here. Hope everybody going out has lion and bear tags, cause thats about all youre likely to fill.
