I wonder about them globe front sights and if a stick will knock the center out of it. Then what do you do? I may have to try one and see for myself how it survives.
I have several sets of spare fiber optic sights. They seem to break fairly often when beating brush hunting elk. But you can still shoot without the fibers.
The big upgrade I make is to swap the colors. The guns tend to ship with green rear and red front. For me the green is much brighter and washes out the image when its close to your eye. Changing it so its red in the rear and green in the front is a very big help.
I also sight my rifle in so the impact point is right at the top of the front sight instead of having to cover the target with the front sight I just cover the bottom half of the target.
