Loved it there. We saw it on our Alaskan Cruise 3 years ago. We were able to take a canoe across the lake to the glacier, we enen convinced the guide to paddel under a bridge type formation created by icebergs in the lake. 8)

The water fall at the lake is pretty cool to.

I love Alaska, it's a bit of Paradise for me.

in '05 we did the cruise thing and took a helicopter up and landed on it, then hiked around with crampons and stuff for a while. don't think we needed the crampons much where we were at, more for the touristy effect than anything else i think. i looked for some pics but they must be on the other pooter.

Feel free to post them here. I'd love to see them. Did you ride Up with Temsco Helicopter's?

i'd love to post them but i can't figure out which computer we put them on. starting to think they are on a disc somewhere. i've been looking for them for a while now.
don't remember the name of the helicopter company, but we left from the airport and flew up, landed, wandered around, then took off again a couple hours later for some sightseeing and stuff. it was a cool afternoon.

i was there in  sept of 08 and it looks like its changede quite a bit. i was up on a rock  in a little inlet and there was a bear  below me. the rangers  freaked out and made everyone stay about 20 yards away. i went around a bend on a trail and  he popped up on the trail. i thought it was cool  some people  freaked  out.  he had salmon on his mind that day  not human.
