Overturn Gun Initiative - One week left
« on: December 19, 2019, 02:07:37 AM »
I received this message, it explains the situation very well, take action now!

Dear WaGuns members,

You know that we don't email you very often; we only do it when we really need your help.  This is one of those times.

Initiative 1639 took effect here in Washington last July 1st.  All of our semi-auto rifles are now "assault rifles," and when we buy one we have a mandatory waiting period and we are forced to waive our right to medical privacy.  As you've probably seen, Attorney General Bob Ferguson is now poised to push a ban on those very same "assault rifles" during the coming legislative session.

This is unconstitutional . . . and we finally have a chance to do something about it!  Patriots in our state have written Initiative 1094 which will reverse the damage that I-1639 did, and we have one week left to gather signatures if we want to move it forward!  We still need tens of thousands of signatures, which we CAN get, but we need your help to make it happen.

Please help us by:

1) At a minimum, go to one of the locations at the link below and sign the initiative.  Please do this before Christmas, as the deadline is upon us!
If you need to make a special trip to the gun store, please do so!
https://www.waguncontrol.org/

2) Can you help collect signatures?  You can:
  - Take friends and family members to the gun store with you, and get them to sign too!
  - Spread the word (you can forward this email) to friends and family.
  - Go to this WaGuns thread, and offer your help if you're in the Seattle area;
     https://www.waguns.org/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=104796
  - Join the "#F1639 - Repeal 1639" group on Facebook and offer your help.

Again, we have only one week left, and we need to be done by Christmas!
Please do your part to help us overturn Initiative 1639!

Thank you in advance for your help!
