How many go out on opening day?
« on: April 06, 2009, 11:30:22 AM »
I usually wait till the next weekend, but I fish the year round lakes till the opener.  So far it has been pretty good.
Judge if you want, we are all going to die.

I intend to deserve it.

Most of the lakes I fish are open year round. Still pretty funny to see how crowded they are on the opener, lol.

We used to go every to a lake down in Thurston County, but I only fish year -round lakes anymore, the larger reservoir's, primarily because my boat doesn't do well in small lakes and you tend to find more variety in the larger lakes for trolling, not a still -fishing fan.

Benbo30, you are brave to do Lake Wilderness on the opener!  :yike:

We tried that about 10 years ago, I had to walk about 1/2 mile from where I had to park the trailer. It was so crowded you could not even troll.

Family tradition for a campout weekend for me!  Can't wait.  We go north of where I live and everyone always limit out both days.  Fun to just get away and hang with the family.  I posted one last year of my grandson and his trophies.  Hopefully can my camera downloading this year to add to my album.  Good luck to everyone who goes out and battles the crowds.
