How many go out on opening day?

I usually wait till the next weekend, but I fish the year round lakes till the opener.  So far it has been pretty good.

When is the opener?

I will be at Mineral, just as i have for 20 years now, its kind of a tradition.


















Unless i break tradition this year and go turkey hunting.

Most of the lakes I fish are open year round. Still pretty funny to see how crowded they are on the opener, lol.

Lake Margret or Lake Langlois, usually split the weekend at them.

  We used to go every to a lake down in Thurston County, but I only fish year -round lakes anymore, the larger reservoir's, primarily because my boat doesn't do well in small lakes and you tend to find more variety in the larger lakes for trolling, not a still -fishing fan.

Benbo30, you are brave to do Lake Wilderness on the opener! 

We tried that about 10 years ago, I had to walk about 1/2 mile from where I had to park the trailer. It was so crowded you could not even troll.
