looking for some lessons from your past history. i understand the shot requirements.

Yup, Oroville.  California has actually become a pretty highly rated turkey hunting state.  Those are Rio's down there and I think they are one of the most vocal birds out of the subspecies of turkeys.  You can find them just about anywhere.  They like big scrub oaks to roost in or cedar trees at higher elevation.  They have a pretty long season down there to.  This is where my turkey hunting fever started.
