I bought the Rambo and got a great deal for what they cost, but the jury is still out on how good they are.  For the cost,  sure is a lot of "Chinese" feel to the parts. I expected better.
Haven't put enough miles on it yet to be convinced.

Forgot about this thread and wanted to do an update for any new or future rambo bike owners.  After finally getting my bike back from the shop, new rear hub, breaks and adjusted right, it feels like a different bike.  It now goes up a steep hill without that horrible clicking or skipping sound, runs really well.  I'll see but I bet my battery will last longer too now that it's adjusted right.  I'd recommend anyone that goes with rambo to send it in to a shop the first day you get it to have the rear hub, and gears adjusted to each other!  You'll be miles ahead.  My break line had a leak somewhere so they had to replace the entire system because they couldn't find it.

What kind of elevation climbs do these bikes climb before the battery gives up the ghost?  Could you climb 3,000 feet?

There are a lot of variables in that e.g., battery size, grade, bike power, how much are you peddling, …

Most bikes are limited to 750 watts.  A typical battery is about 700-watt hours.  That gives you less than an hour at full power.  If you can maintain 10mph up a 7% grade using the 750watts, that would give you over 3000ft elevation.

My next ebike will probably be AWD - dual hub motors.  Or I may just get a front kit for my Rad.

What shop did you go to? Here in Olympia, the shops I have talked to are anti-battery assist..

Trex bicycle in tukwila by south center mall. That anti battery bike sentiment is around my area too, in fact they really didn’t want to work on my bike but they did. They will NOT work on battery or computer issues. They did a great job on replacing my rear hub and adjusting my gearing.

They're generic.  A front wheel is a front wheel, just match the wheel size.

I meant getting power to the front wheel.  I have the RadRover but never thought of trying to get power to the front wheel as well.
