1993 Ford F-150 4x4. Only have 80k on her! Been on many a hunting trip, and that's about all I use her for.

How are you all liking the gas prices driving those rigs around? No one loves a truck more than me, but with gas prices on the rise, I'm parking mine! I could go to Hawaii with the money i save.

I set aside some money out of every paycheck to fund the annual hunting trip. I am not going to let the price of fuel derail my hunting season! A plus is that the price of fuel is slowly coming down. I was paying almost $4.50 a gallon for diesel. I fueled up yesterday at $4.16 a gallon.

When it comes to hunting, I will not let GAS Prices take me out of the game!  I do have plenty of hunting partners that would pitch in for gas as needed if we are going to carpool. Once the drawing results come out I will be making arrangements to get out in the field to do a lot more scouting. My wife wants me to take a rest on the trail cam that I have out. What she doesn't know is that we are going camping in the area this weekend and I will be checking the cam. Hope to post new pics next week.

My rig, the "Gate Buster". I hunted exclusively behind gates close to home last season. Didn't get a buck but hunted in areas that held deer, got in great shape and had a blast! Only saw one other hunter who walked an impressive distance.

^^^^Big Red looks tough!^^^

I know! I have been hearing a lot of people talking about them on here. Is yours pretty wobbly driving down the road with the 5.5 lift? I have a 2.5 and I have heard once you go over the 3.5 you start white knuckling pretty bad keeping it between the lines.
Not sure yet :dunno:havn't got to drive it since the spring change. My old lift was a 3.5 and it was so stiff I absolutely dreaded potholes. This new lift is ALLOT softer. As far as wandering goes, im going to have to wait and see. Ive got a 70's 2wd f350 stearing box that mounts extremely low and Im running a tie rod over style stearing setup, so my stearing angle is really reasonable. Im pretty sure that the body roll is going to be allot more noticeable than before.

The biggest issue with lifting a Bronco or F150 is they use radius arms. If you do not use arms that correct for the change in castor angle, it is going to get squirrley on the road. James Duff makes some great arms that correct for the change in castor angle.

dpete, that bike is awesome! What's your strategy for getting your animal off the mountain? Do you bone it out in the field or lash it to the bike?

I think it's a law that a truck like this has to be called Big Red.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
