NEW CLASSIFIEDS FORUM
« on: April 10, 2009, 11:46:02 AM »
you guys who are posting new ads in this classifieds board are hopefully aware that this board is going bye bye...

everyone got a pm and we at hunt-wa would encourage you to start to use the new classifieds boards we have started.
here's the details as far as what is happening in brief.

Quote
By rolling out this new system I believe that it also makes sense to retire the current classifieds board inside of the forums. I am establishing an end date of April 23rd 2009 for that. On that morning anything inside the classifieds board at http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/board,13.0.html will be deleted. There will be NO migration of existing advertisements into the new system. This is your official notice.

Please consider utilizing the new classifieds system at http://hunting-washington.com/classifieds/index.php starting now. There might be a few issues to work out in the next few weeks but overall it has been tested to some extent and some members have reported positive feedback in regards to this new change.

the new board can be found here:
http://hunting-washington.com/classifieds/index.php

this is your other official notice  :chuckle:

thanks.
Jackelope

you guys need to thank Ray for the hard work getting it set up.
the key will be using it to it's full advantage. it's really neat if you mess with it and figure out some of the new bells and whistles there are to work with.

see attached image. That is how you should be editing your ads. Using "Product Options" in the upper right corner.

If you decide to delete your add it does not open or reload a new page. It will give you a check box to delete it after selecting delete from the "Product Options" drop down. Sometimes you will have to scroll down to see it. This might also catch people off guard.

Users can also select "Edit Ad" and then scroll down and select a check box to delete ad. Basically there is more than one way to do it.

But I do not see away to edit or delete a post you do not start. Like if you post a comment is there a way to delete or edit it?

You're not going to get forum features. It is a classifieds system not a bulletin board system. Learn how to spell I guess. There are lots of browsers which offer spell check add ons if it is that important to someone. In addition to that there are lots of bulletin board systems which do not have spell check.
