Mineral lake or alder?
« on: June 25, 2020, 06:39:04 PM »
Buddy and I are going to get away for tomorrow evening fishing and trying to decide which lake to go to. He has a little boat so we will be trolling. Haven’t been to either in a looooong time. Catch and release trout I’ll be doing. Gotta get away from stress for a bit. Thanks in advance.

Both good choices. I'd hit mineral if it were me and hope for one of the bigguns

Alder has a great Kokanee fishery, and decent trout.
Mineral Is better for trout and a slim chance at a really large rainbow or Brown.

My brother has been hitting mineral when he gets bored I guess with his guaranteed limit at Riffe. Along with the rainbows he Got a couple really nice browns last week along with a couple good sized perch.

We only ended up catching 3 on this trip. Still a blast to get out on the water. I caught this guy twice. First time got him to the boat and my line broke. Then my second pole started bouncing, set the hook got him close to the boat and saw it was the same fish with my previous lure hanging out of its mouth. My second pole trolling a rapala some how snagged the line that had broke off. God must of wanted me to have that fish  :IBCOOL:
