Just curious if anyone hunts that zone during archery elk?  This will be my 3rd year but I’ll be going solo; more than likely the last 10 days of the season.

I made a random trip over there a few years ago, first week of September. Just east of Helmer. Found a nice 6 pt elk shed and got into elk once. Lots of white tails around there. Saw a fair amount of sign not far East right out of Helmer. The area north of Deary and Helmer looked good. I only spent a 3-4 days poking around. That’s all I got.
