Boat based sitka blacktail hunt
« on: August 05, 2020, 07:09:11 PM »
I am looking for any info on boat based Sitka black tail hunts. Any info would be greatly appreciated, good charters, bad charters. We are just starting the research portion and there are several out there. TIA.

Try the Blacktail forum on Rockslide.  The second sticky thread at the top is about DIY hunts on Kodiak with Kodiak Combos.  I haven't done this yet, but would love to.

I have not hunted with Travis, but I’ve fished off the boat. They run a good program and it is a nice setup: https://www.premiersportfishing.com/
There is not enough wilderness left in the world, or in the hearts of men.

Archipelago Adventures in Sitka, Luke runs a great program and is highly recommended. He is working on bear trips in the near future and when these come through he would be a good person for your AK brown bear.

I have gone with Travis at Alaska premier sportsfishing , once in 2018 and i have another trip set for this year .
He runs a good outfit , great meals , knowledgeable , and the venturess is very comfortable with a hot shower and washer and drier available .
I went nov - 14-20 iirc last time and will be going oct 28-nov3 this year .
