If you are military or LEO, give them a call.  The discount is pretty dang good.

You can buy one state or all of them.  You can pay monthly though and just buy a few months a year.

That said, for $99 a year, it's going to be in big trouble when GoHunt rolls out their maps and you get mapping plus all of the tag info for a few bucks a year more.
I’ll echo this. They still have a few kinks to work out in the beta phase but GoHunt is really putting together a good thing with their mapping product. The 3D feature alone is so nice. It just about eliminates the need to jump back and forth on apps like you would with OnX and Google Earth. They’ll be dropping their phone app soon too. Will be hard to justify paying for two separate products if I can get my tag research and mapping for all states on one app.

I'm also hunting both Washington and Oregon this year. I bought one year of the ONX app just for Washington. I think it was $25 using the "RMEF " discount code. I have noticed that It also gives me an Oregon map, but with out all the layers that I have for Washington (talking about land ownership, GMU boundaries and elevations), but still a good map that will let you mark waypoints and keep tracks. Since I know my Oregon hunt is on public land I will plan on using my ONX version there. I will carry my Garmin GPS because I already have one with an Oregon chip but expect the ONX on my phone to be all I'll really need.

How 'bout retired military?

Gary
One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted. If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job. ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

Basemap is on camo fire right now for $18.00 free shipping.
Ive never used it but I figured for $18.00 cant hurt to have both onx and basemap.

I agree, might just go that direction.  I have to do a little research first.

you can use the basic stuff in basemap free of charge too.

I've spent many years in the software industry, and have talked w/ OnX in a professional capacity - they have made some "interesting" decisions (my opinion of course). I'd choose GoHunt and it's up and coming features over the others.

Basemap has gotten to the point they can do what On X does, but they got there in a fraction of the time and with a lot less people and choose to reflect that in their product costs it seems. Basemap are WA boys too, its a local grown product.

There are lots of GIS systems out there that are a lot more powerful than any of these, but you would have to roll your own hunt specific layers to take advantage of that, definitely not a convenience.

One thing to keep in mind with parcel data and up to datedness - all of these are totally reliant on records from county assessors - it's not uncommon for county records to not get updated in a timely manner, some counties are a little slower than others...

Thanks for all the info guys.  I'm still up in the air for now.  I'm definitely going to be doing some research to figure out what's going to work best for me.  I already have Washington on OnX, just trying to figure out the rest.
