2nd deer tag weapon swap.

If i have a second deer tag that is a muzzle loader hunt am i allowed to downgrade to a bow for this hunt? Thanks in advance. I thought i was able to but I’m getting mixed feedback

I do not think that is correct, since he is asking about a second deer tag (which would be a special permit) vs hunting under his OTC tag where he could choose to use a lesser weapon.
It is better to be consistently incorrect than inconsistently correct...

Archery equipment is compliant with a muzzleloader tag.

I get that, but it looks a little murkey the way the wording is under the special permit section.

I would not trust any of the internet experts, especially when dealing with WDFW if it were me, that is all I was trying to say.

I’m in A similar situation. I called WDFW.
I can use a bow during muzzy season FYI

You can use a bow, but not during archery season (only during muzzy season).  You can always downgrade weapons modern to muzzy to archery, but obviously not the other way around provided you hunt during the original season and comply with any firearm restrictions on the area.
