It won't change what the elk are going to do. Killed most of my bulls when its above 70 in the day. From the Blues to the coast. Called them in. The issue in these temps is the meat. Plus the elk will be around water sources which are cool areas

Had the kids up grouse hunting last night and the bulls were popping off pretty good.  Elk will do what elk do regardless, its just a lot less enjoyable when its 95° on Saturday  :chuckle:

I was out deer hunting in the area I’m going to be elk hunting in over the weekend and heard a few faint bugles and some cow talk. I have some water sources where I’ve seen plenty of sign and cows earlier last month. Should shape up to be a good season for me. First time in a while with the work schedule and other things going in that I’ve been able to get the hole early season off for archery. Can’t wait...!
