just a stab in the dark here but ross's/lesser/hybrid snow goose?

close.......... your first guess was on spot! though it is a snow goose (blue morphed) otherwise known as a "blue goose" ;)

was with a friend today when we spotted them and fortunantly I had a spotting scope handy and stuck the little digital camara up and got a few shots.. Not a very common bird to see here.

be patient and cross your fingers :)  the birds have been pretty much using the south side of fir island road for the last few weeks. They are bound to start shifting around a bit and if they do you should do OK....Our paths will prolly cross next week, I'll make sure and say hello. What unit do you have assigned to you?

I hunted Skagit Bay for years and never saw a blue phase snow goose; dark, immature snows (yes), but no true blue geese. I've shot both in North Dakota.

Hey there "Y" Glad ya joined up, great little site here with a ton of cool stories, pictures and stuff.. Hope Doug has a great time and look forward to some pictures on here.

Did I send you photos of this years buck for Brady and I???  There is a post on the deer forum with some pics, its titled "mid-week muley" from a few weeks ago..
