I live in Eburg and there is still a lot of snow. My roommate went out yesterday up here, called in four different hunters. So thats the only report I have, tons of snow and tons of guys.

Got on some birds this morning. Super henned up, and had a guy park like 40 yards from our rig...and we ended up calling him in. It was kinda ridiculous.

Were you using a gobbler or did they come in our your hen calls?  I hate it when people think they can stalk turkey's and end up ruining your hunt.

Just a diaphram and a box call, no gobbles. Maybe he couldn't tell I was a human??? He set up about 100 yards behind me. I guess he thought he'd call the birds past me and to him, I have no idea. And why he had to park right by me I can't figure out.

God....what ever happened to the days when if someone saw a car parked somewhere....they kept going and found a different spot.  I don't know how many times I've called in hunters.  One even had the gaul to say...boy, you sound just like a real hen.  I let him know in no uncertain terms that staking turkey noises was not how one hunts turkey.

WDFW brought a lot this on with those damn "free tags" with the small game license.  'Hey...we got us a tag...lets go use it".... :yike:  Thank god you have to buy them all now.  So many folks are just driven to be successful no matter what it takes....a real shame.

I call in one or two guys every year :dunno: when I hear a hen I usually stop set up and decipher whether it's a feathered turkey or not :o

I agree on the parking thing, if I see a rig parked no matter how large an area I head some where else.....common courtesy :twocents:

Once we pulled off on a spur road that the landing was the roost and nesting area, as we're lacing our boots another :mor: drove right past us. The USFS needs to gate off more roads! Close those spurs off to vehicles, ruins the whole hunt sometimes :bash: :twocents:
