Got a Good Deal on a New Turkey Gun
« on: April 16, 2009, 09:07:13 PM »
Not leaving for turkey camp until tomorrow morning, so was out and about picking up some last minute things.  Stopped at Costco for the remainder of groceries and then went to Cabelas to pick up some extra shells and some new fiber optics for my turkey gun.  I got a Cabelas spring sale flyer last week and noticed they had some guns on sale...one in particular.
It was a Remington 870 SPS-T 20 gauge, 20 inch barrel with an extra full turkey choke.  Came with a sling and fiber opics and completely camoed in Mossy Oak New Breakup.  Original off the rack price $529.99.......sale price after a $30 rebate $349.99.  I also had another card Cabelas had sent and offered cash off for specific amounts spent.  I bought the gun along with other things and was over $500 total...so I got another $50 off.
Sweet deal....figure gun cost me $300, which was hard to pass up.  When I got there they had two on the rack and five in the back.  When I paid for it an hour later another fellow had bought the same gun....his was one of two on the rack that was left.  They went fast.  So I be using both turkey guns this year, my 12 and this 20....if I'm that lucky, that is......lol.
