9mm being hoarded?
« on: October 30, 2020, 11:07:12 AM »
I went to Bi Mart, Sportsmen's, and Big 5 - no 9mm and they all say the same thing. The shipments are bought out within 30 minutes of arrival. Due to street violence and people thinking Biden will be elected. Is everyone here seeing the same thing? How about online?

guy I work with ordered some online months ago from sportsmans guide and they were on backorder. Said they would be available in October. Got an email a few weeks ago they are now looking at January. They are just regular target 9mm rounds

The only stock I see online is regular FMJ 124s for $1.50/rnd. Kind of absurd.

I had a guy looking for 9mm the other day to load some mags.  Asked him how much he had at home at the moment and the reply was 3K.... and he was looking for still more.  We were out.

ammoseek and https://gun.deals/ are the two I used the most.  I think there are others and they may be good too but these are the two I usually use to find stuff and check prices.

I'm surprised you are just now noticing, this has been an issue for a while.
I know I've lost it, let me know if you come across it

I hadn't noticed because I had 2K+ stored. But, I've been upping my game at the range and going through a good chunk. I just want to keep up with usage if I can.

If you can wait, I would.  You'll pay a premium on the ammo right now, it's bound to level off at some point.

I don't see ammo being readily available for at least 6 months, I think you will be waiting a long time.  Every chance I get to purchase some I do, but most places are out and limiting it to 1 box per person.
