Late Modern Season East or West
« on: November 02, 2020, 06:31:35 AM »
Brace yourselves! another I need help thread is coming!

Ok seriously, This season was all about helping get my wife her buck. Now that that is done I am still hanging onto a Modern Firearm deer tag that I would like to fill. I have looked at the maps and the seasons and am kinda at a loss. I don't know the west side at all, I haven't crossed the mountains more than a couple times a year my whole life. Is the opportunity to fill my tag on the west side good enough to make a leap of faith? I have hunted around the Kettle Falls area before, But I had a few locals with me that knew the area. anybody out there have some recommendation please send me a PM Thanks again

If you are suggestion leaving the east side to go west I would say don’t do it.
If it’s the opposite it’s probably worth it. Just my  :twocents:

Don't come over here for late buck if you live in Walla Walla. The 4 day late season can be fantastic, but you have to know your way around. You're much better off traveling north a couple hours and hunting WT.

:yeah: Plenty of area north of spokane that you can kill a whitetail.

Look at harvest reports and go to the unit with the highest hunter success, find some slicks and camp out on them from a safe distance until some horns appear.  Be still, be quiet, be patient.  Pay attention to down wind side of the slicks.

It's been hard even seeing BT in some areas on the West side. Being where you are I would say go for WT.
