Very cool. Congrats on a great hunt!

I took a small bull with my Hangman tag. I was with my dad, who was getting old, and I decided (in advance) that the first bull we saw was good enough. Dropped the 2 year old, and then a full grown adult bull stepped out of the timber. No regrets at all. It was our last hunt together, him passing away the next year. And the meat was about the best wild meat I’ve ever had.

Thanks for sharing...

Congrats on your bull and a great adventure.  Having had a late moose tag, it can be a tough hunt.

Pathfinder101 thank you for your interest.  I just returned from the taxidermist and given the long time associated with tanning I decided to swing both ways and have a eruo done while waiting for the tannery.  When the tanning is complete I most likely will have the shoulder mount done.

Cool beans.  I think I have done that with almost everything I have taken to the taxidermist; I euro it out and hang it on a wall until the taxi tells me the cape is done.  I don't think I'd be doing a moose head myself though, so I'd probably do what you're doing.  I think the only downside it that your bull is going to make a super-cool euro.  Might be hard to take him down when the taxi calls with the cape... ;)
