Case head separation Glock 20
« on: November 28, 2020, 05:41:39 PM »
As the title says I had a case head separation at the range a couple days ago.  There doesn't appear to be any damage to the Glock.  I felt a bit of powder and or brass shards hit my hand but no damage there either. I'm curious where HSM gets their brass for their reloaded ammo.  I sent an inquiry to them but haven't heard back so far.

What gen?

Aftermarket barrel?

Looks like the ammo is mismatched?
I see silver and brass cases?

I'm sorry you Had this  Happen but i don't shoot other peoples reloads  which is what HSM is making you at least 4 different head stamps  per your pict i suspect quality of their obtained brass is the problem

It's a stock Gen4 barrel.  And yes the headstands are mixed.  The ammo is from my father-in-laws estate so if I toss it I'm not out anything.  I'll probably pull the the bullets and toss the rest.

Remanufactured ammunition. I haven't had it happen to me, but I have seen it happen to a couple of shooters that use remanufactured 10mm. Not sure if either was using HSM. I have used HSM and others with no problems and they also sell ammunition made with all new components. The other pistols were a Kimber and a Colt.
