I am always surprised to see complaints about free markets on a hunting site.  This is an interesting perspective on gouging as a deterrent to hoarding. https://www.johnlocke.org/update/how-price-gouging-laws-subsidize-hoarding/

Back in March Sportsmans warehouse was selling primers for 2 cents.  If you were smart enough to load up, you deserve to be rewarded.  You may have chosen to buy TP instead. That's what makes markets.

I've been making this argument over and over and people just don't seem to get it.  That's a good article that explains it nicely!

Why would I worry about the market,bought 1k large rifle primer yesterday,bought 1k large rifle magnum primers today both where 35 bucks +tax.
One cci other where federal .
It's who you know and where you look.
