Now you guys have me thinking about fishing.  I was planning on upgrading to a more family-friendly boat, but that's not going to happen for a few years.  So I'm looking for a trolling motor for a 16' sled that will mainly be used in Eastern WA lakes.  Will a 12 volt 55 lbs be enough or am I going to wish I had more?  Also what length of shaft should I be looking for.  Here's the boat:
55lbs. Is plenty.
$5 is a lot of money if you ain't got it
